Mix and Swap: Trans Mutual Aid Mixer and Clothing Swap

Workshop, All Ages
OXY ARTS

4757 York Blvd
Los Angeles CA 90042

Come and meet community and mutual aid organizers in the greater Los Angeles area. You are invited to participate in “speed dating” activities to co-mingle with other movement makers and thinkers.

A gender-affirming clothing swap organized by Occidental College’s own Touchdown Thrift will take place at this program, in honor of Jeanne Córdova’s multigenerational clothing swap with her younger butch, dyke, transmasculine friends as documented by Raquel Gutierréz’s Brown Neon.

You’re welcome to participate in either or both activities! You can bring clothes you want to swap and peruse the offerings from Touchdown Thrift.

Mix and Swap: Trans Mutual Aid Mixer and Clothing Swap is co-presented by OXY ARTS and One Institute as a part of the 2026 Circa: Queer Histories Festival, presented by One Institute.

  • OXY ARTS is a vital public space bringing together the Occidental College community, the Northeast Los Angeles community, and local and regional artists in socially conscious dialogue and engagement. We seek to share, connect and hold space for ideas and curiosity.
